Reality through simulation?
If you ask my opinion on games being simulators of reality; I feel its a streatch. Yes, the gaming company and the creators of simulations want you to believe that their graphical creations is a close reality, but as you know already, real life is ambigious, and unpredictable. Lets take an example of a battle. In a video game you are faced by these evil guys who are out to kill you and you are trying to kill them. If the computer is your opponent, then you are fighting against a superior mathamatical machine, which makes moves based on probablity with lack of emotions. But in real life, people have emotions, feelings and intution, all of which is hard to [Re]create. Feelings are spontanious and this is something that a machine lacks. You can program a machine to do things randomly, but at any given point, it is still a program (codes). So, what Im trying to say is, you can create a simulation of anything, but reality is simply, reality. It exists at moment it happens. You can record one, but cant really recreate it.
