I realize that simulators are made to look realistic with increasing perfection everyday. The notion of no "outside" can be very powerful. But besides just creating better, near-real graphics and the idea of "never being able to live this situation in real life", what is it that makes simulators like The Sims and Flight Simulator (not linear games!) so inviting and addictive?
