I think it would be interesting to see the Expressivator in action, to actually work on an agent. Sengers ideas seem headed in the correct direction to me, but I still think that there is a long way to go in AI. Right now it remains a nice idea. Sometimes AI is a scary idea considering where it could go within social context; I think there are plenty of Steven Speilberg movies depicting that. I take comfort in a Wired article that I have referenced before stating that we still have problems getting AI to walk down a crowded hallway, so let's not get carried away with AI taking over the world too fast. From my little understanding of behaviorial programming, the use of narrative transitions and cues makes a great deal of sense.
