In Montort’s chapter regarding IF, the concepts of “Game”, “Puzzle”, “Problem” and “Riddle” are somewhat confounding. It seems that “Puzzle”, “Problem” and “Riddle” are all under the umbrella of “Game”. “Puzzle”, “Problem” and “Riddle” by themselves are not “Games”, while the process of accomplishing these tasks are. Players are also required to use different strategies to deal with these tasks accordingly. Do you agree? Could someone suggest some concrete examples to better illustrate these concepts?
