Since I'm not a biologist or physicist so some of this incredibly complex discussion makes no sense to me but I do understand time. Just like the more we have the ability to take technology with us, the more technology will keep us tied to home/office. As technology makes tasks quicker to accomplish, the more tasks we'll do. We'll become more efficient, live longer and make our exsistence more miserable for a longer period of time. Essentially we are the greyhounds chasing the rabbit around the track. One of may be faster than the rest but none of us actually catches the hare. The hare just gets faster as do we but we still don't catch it. Hopefully we'll eventually see as the Europeans have, that it is very unhealthy. Technology should improve and add free time to our lives instead of take it.

Technolgy can be neutral. When applying technology in the context, the power dynamics make the relationship more complicated. On one hand, technology increase the productivity and efficiency. And on the other hands, it might create more tasks to the employers. Technology reshape the working model as well as it change the social values and perspectives. In the wireless time, people will be easily tied to the jobs. I thin we need a new working attitude to prevent us from dying in overwork...

I agree with this discussion and have nothing more to say except what do we need to do to go in the other direction, i.e. work to live?
